María Sánchez madre de Carlos Eduardo Muñoz Sánchez, un presunto falso positivo, dijo sobre la desaparición de su hijo:

La última petición
“Hermanita, no se olvide de mis papás, no se olvide de nosotros”. Es la petición que le hizo Lenin Pinilla a su hermana Edidzabel el 1 de enero del 2000, en forma de despedida, sin saber que sería la última. Lenin desapareció al año siguiente, el 15 de octubre de 2001 -cuando tenía 19 años-, en el municipio de Uribe (Meta), en la vereda El Tigre.
